Our latest addition to the Garden of Eggen... Paco

My sweet husband had been secretly searching KSL.com for a new horse.  Ever since Lexie was thrown off her horse we realized that we needed an older gentle horse for her to ride.  So 2 days ago we found the latest addition to the farm...Paco.

Paco is a 23 year gelding and has spent his life with a very loving owner in Lehi.  He is a trained barrel racer and is a very gentle horse.  We put him in the north pasture until he got to know the other horses.  We will move him to the south pasture today.  So far AJ is a little jealous because Lexi horse is flirting with the new guy.  He will make a beautiful addition to our herd.

Lexie loves her new horse.  The morning after we got him she was out feeding him grain before she had breakfast and the minute she got home from school she was back out with Paco.  He is very loved.  Tonight Stan rode Paco around the yard and then had Lexie ride him in the round corral.  It is the first time she has been on a horse since she was bucked off.  Paco reminds me so much of our horse Chief.  Stan had a tear in his eye as he watched our girl Lexie riding this gentle giant horse.   The chickens were running loose in the yard chasing bugs, my sweeties were hanging with the horses and I was watching with joy as the sun began to set on my beautiful farm.  Life is good!!!
